General

Originally built as a motel in 1928, Auberge Hadath El Jebbeh was renovated in collaboration with Hadath El Jebbeh’s development association and reopened its doors as a guesthouse in 2012. It sits in the heart of Hadath El Jebbeh, in Bcharreh district about 100 kms from Beirut.

The traditional mansion has preserved  its original features, from the traditional yellow stone walls, vaults separating rooms, spacious living and dining rooms, simply decorated with antique chandeliers and old paintings.

The guesthouse is famous for serving Lebanon’s traditional garlic Maakroun, which is made from dough carefully cooked with garlic, lemon juice and delicious olive oil.

After enjoying some wonderful Lebanese foods, don’t forget to ask about the mysterious El Assi cave and how it was discovered. Guests also love to spend their weekends looking for delicious fresh mushrooms.  The details of a package tour are available at the auberge.
